Popcorn Time - One Of The Best Applications To Watch Movies, TV Series And Anime In Streaming On Your Device

Droidever - Today we share one of the best applications to enjoy movies and TV series in streaming on your device Android, it's Popcorn Time, a cross-platform application, captioned, and that allows you to view content in HD/Full HD quality for free.

The Time Popcorn project was created by a group of independent developers in Argentina, as an alternative to similar services like Netflix subscription, having as main characteristics being open source and also - and most importantly - completely free of charge, soon this project was a tremendous success, coming to occupy front pages in newspapers, magazines and specialized blogs, but fame had a negative effect , because it drew the attention of the powerful film industry, who exerted a brutal pressure on developers in matters of copyright, so in March 2014 had to cancel the project abruptly, leaving a sense message on their official website: "Popcorn Time will close today. Not because we have lost the energy, dedication, focus or our allies. But because we need to continue with our lives. Our experiment put us at the gates of the endless discussions of piracy and copyright, legal threats and dark machinery that makes us feel threatened for doing what we love. And this is not a battle that we want to be."

It was definitely a big blow for users, but after some months of uncertainty 3 groups of developers they all got to work to continue with the project independently, so we have IO group, group SE and Chupacabra (MultiLanguage version), which have provided support to the application for all major operating systems, with the only difference that the group is also provides support for iOS.

How does it work? Popcorn Time to be a streaming application requires access to the internet (a good connection is recommended since it only plays content in HD and FullHD, so search content from external servers and torrents to be able to play it. Is it legal? What a question, Popcorn Time is in that thin line separating legal from illegal, although its developers have always defended the position of the project is legal, the truth is that it allows you to watch movies without paying a just penny, which of itself is already pretty suspect.
